What’s been happening this past week? These are some of the things we found interesting in the past few days…
Hermès Apple AirPods 2 Pro Case
You might not be able to get yourself the Hermès bag you are dreaming of, but now you can cover your AirPods in one of their oldest signature materials and still feel fashionable. It looks great and you can choose from “Gold,” “Bleu Navy,” “Vert Criquet/Vert Bambou,” or “Bleu Lin/Étain”, but we will leave it up to you if it’s worth €850. At least AirPods have a trackable function in case you forget them in your favourite cafe.
Jacquemus X Nike teams up once again
Jacquemus really is the king of campaigns and collabs. And you might have spotted that we love him a lot here (especially Robin) After serving us with two colourways of the Nike Air Humara as part of their Summer 2022 collection, these two labels connect once again for collaborative J Force 1s, described as “a sophisticated shoe with the spirit of an AF1.” This shoe will come in two black and white and should drop on 13th June.
Louis Vuitton Biker Messenger Bag
We all bike here in Copenhagen and so messenger bags come in handy. Now we can level up our bags collection with a Louis Vuitton version designed with a reference to Georges Vuitton’s passion for automobiles. Its shape is reminiscent of a trunk or storage device similar to those used in old cars and features elements drawn from Virgil Abloh’s influence.
IWC Mark XX
IWC’s Marks series celebrates its 75th anniversary and for this occasion, the brand is adding a white dial to their Mark XX lineup (the brand’s popular pilot’s watch) with contrasting black numerals. It comes with a case diameter of 40mm, a five-day power reserve and 100 meters of water resistance, and can be purchased with a matching bracelet or leather straps (equipped with IWC’s EasX-CHANGE system for fast swaps straps and the bracelet).
Georg Jensen x David Thulstrup
It might be over a hundred years old but silversmith Georg Jensen is still pretty good at keeping up to date with who is cool to work with. After commissioning work from stars such as Zaha Hadid and Marc Newson in the past, the latest designer to create a piece of silverware is Copenhagen-based architect David Thulstrup. Combining an oval dish shape within a rigid rectangular form, ‘Penumbra’ is a masterpiece of craftsmanship (it takes one person over four months to make). But at a cost of nearly €47,000, it’s an expensive thing to put your fruit in.
