Best watch releases of 2022

Everyone loves sports watches, and you do too!

Everybody loves sports watches –  well at least I believe so… And there is something about a sports watch with a steel bracelet: it just looks fantastic on every wrist, on any occasion. But enough words, you already know this.

Whilst I could dive into all the details and specs (don’t get me wrong, they played a big role when selecting too), here are my favourite releases and why I especially love them.

Vacheron Constantin Historiques 222

37mm

Why I love this watch:

  • Hottest release of 2022, a dream watch for all of us
  • Inspired by the original model from the 70s when sports watches were booming
  • It’s slim and, in yellow gold, it’s an absolute bomb on your wrist

Tudor Pelagos 39

39mm

Why I love this watch:

  • If you know me, you know I love Tudor – period.
  • a new edition to what is the most hardcore dive watch to date
  • It’s a great tool watch with a simple yet fantastic design, which fits most of the wrist

Nomos Club Sport Neomatik

37mm

Why I love this watch:

  • Best all-around watch from Nomos
  • While it’s still a sports watch, it has a dressier and so more versatile look
  • This watch offers a high standard of watchmaking for its affordable price.

4. Girard Perregaux Laureato

38mm

Why I love this watch:

  • A slim sports watch that underlines my love of watches from the 70s when octagons and sleek bracelets were at their peak.
  • Its dial in a copper-toned hue is just perfection

Chopard Alpine Eagle

41mm

Why I love this watch:

  • It’s the biggest watch on this list, but it wears closer to 39mm
  • Alpine Eagle’s design is spot on … look closely at its unique “Eagle Eye” dial finishing

Oris Propilot X Calibre 400

39mm

Why I love this watch:

  • This watch has a full titanium case which hides an impressive 120h power reserve
  • A dial in this colour will definitely pop (but you have two other options – grey and blue)

Omega Speedmaster ’57

40.5mm

Why I love this watch:

  • The new generation which is closer to the very first Speedmaster from 1957
  • This model offers a vintage look while still feeling modern and it’s ready to stand aside the “First Omega In Space

That’s all from me today. What’s your favorite?

Thanks for reading, Robin …
