Life is full of little luxuries and sometimes the smallest things can have a good effect on the way your begin the morning. Good shower gel can be one of those things – a welcome blast of a fresh fragrance combined with something that soaps up well to remove the last remnants of a sleepy night. Runny body wash that smells of washing up liquid is a sure fire way to a grumpy commute to work so, instead, spend a little bit more and know you have treated yourself before you even get dressed.
Frama – Herbarium
Made in collaboration with Seoul-based creative studio Be My Guest this plant-based body wash has the subtle aroma of an Eastern garden. Orange, rose and juniper mix with Ho wood (no sniggering at the back!) to create something that smells fresh and clean.
Arket – Neroli
Citric aromas work well in the morning as they invigorate the nose and add a bit of zing to the skin. Arket’s Neroli is a well-priced body wash that uses a background of Nordic flora with a touch of neroli oil (derived from orange blossom). Sugar beet and birch sugar are also used as ingredients for their natural moisturising effect.
Byredo – Gypsy Water
Known for their high-concept but wittily named fragrances, Byredo hits the mark with Gypsy Water – a mix of pine needle, sandalwood and that ever-present citrus. It supposedly evokes the fever of a gypsy camp in the forest but in reality is a pretty good way to wake up your body in the morning.
LA:Bruket – Cucumber Mint
