Followers of our personal IG accounts might have noticed that The Editors recently got a new four-legged honorary member of staff in the shape of Stanley, Graham’s new dog. This has thrown up a whole new area of shopping possibilities that will only increase as Christmas approaches. It seems that every brand, from the most luxurious to the prosaic high street, offers treats for your pooch, so to help you through it, our faithful furry editor-at-large has narrowed it down to these few (written by Graham as his paws aren’t great for typing yet).
LV pooh bag holder
Most of us cope with a few pooh bags tied around the handle of the lead, but if you live in a fancy neighbourhood or simply have too much money on your hands, Louis Vuitton offer this little holder in the shape of a shiba inu face. It doesn’t make the process any more pleasant, but it might distract passersby from what you are doing.
Arket x Barbour jacket
We are not advocates for dressing a dog in silly outfits (apart from Halloween, obviously), but Copenhagen weather CAN be wet, and a fluffy dog hates that, so sometimes a showerproof coat is a good idea on the morning walk. This stylish waxed jacket is part of Arket’s collab with Barbour, so it ticks all the style boxes you could want and hopefully makes your dog not too humiliated by the whole experience. Aesop shampoo
Dogs that don’t shed hair might be better for your soft furnishings, but they do require more grooming, and that includes regular bathing. Don’t use human shampoo, though – canine skin is sensitive to astringent soaps, so use something specially formulated for them. We want our dogs to walk as much as possible, but on the metro or train, small breeds can travel free if they are in a bag.
