Current Grooming Favourites

On Graham’s Bathroom Shelf

We all have the regular products that we keep going back to but also occasionally want to try new things too so our bathroom cabinets are a continual array of old and new. Here are some of the things we are currently trying and enjoying.

Ole Henriksen Dewtopia Acid Flash Facial

Sunday mornings are often ‘spa day’ when we try out once-a-week masks and this one has been one of the winners. Put it on, marvel at the rather weird iridescent look that resembles a Snapchat filter, make a cuppa for ten minutes and then wash off to reveal super soft skin. It’s a nice weekend skin treat.

Nilens Jord Face Wash

This very successful beauty brand has recently branched out into a small range of skincare products targeted especially towards men. It’s all vegan, simple to use, neutral in aroma and at a good price so we are impressed. This skin wash is suitably light and foamy and works both in the morning and evening.

Augustinus Bader Shampoo

Any regular reader of our grooming features will know we are BIG fans of this luxury brand of skincare products but not so many people know they also have a small hair care range. This shampoo is rich yet gentle and apparently can improve the texture and thickness of your hair. It might be expensive but the quality is great and you only need a tiny amount.

Mantle Eye De-puffer

We all need a product like this now and again: as a quick extra step after normal moisturiser, it’s good to use something that reduces eye bags and shadows. This one from Mantle contains caffeine to perk you up, vitamin C to boost collagen and tri-peptide to increase elasticity resulting in eyes that don’t give away the fact you stayed up too late drinking last night.

Cowshed Invigorating Body Wash

Cowshed may not sound so squeaky clean but, being part of the Soho House stable (pardon the pun), they in fact offer very desirable bathroom products. We love this body wash with a punchy aroma of lemongrass, rosemary and ginger that washes away the sleepiness of the night and sets you on your way into the workday with a bit more energy. Available from their online store if you are not a Soho House member.
