One of the first full fashion weeks off the blocks this season (discounting mens and couture), Copenhagen had a packed schedule of shows and events. We put in the legwork and went to most of them but these were the stand out looks for us:
Henrik Vibskov
Only Vibskov would devote a whole collection to a love of tomatoes – and make it into something artistic, beautiful and wearable. It might be on the quirky side but who can resist this tomato can packaging knit? His celebratory dinner in the studio later (four courses and cocktails all based around, you guessed it, tomatoes) was one of the highlights of the week too.
Holzweiler
Holzweiler’s ocean inspired show could easily have fallen into over-themed theatricality but instead it showcased a creative and beautifully made collection. Of course there were plenty of mermaid dresses but the highlights were many, many beautiful pieces of knitwear. This shipwrecked fishnet sweater is amazing and let’s also give a shout out to the gorgeous felted wool pants. We also loved the nubbly ecru knit with matching trousers and signature Holzweiler oversized mohair scarf.
Iso:Poeticism
Tobias Birk Nielsen’s Iso:Poeticism brand is always big on stories and emotions. This time he centred the collection around his love for pebbles and stones and the result was surprisingly calm and sophisticated. Gen Z-ers will clamour for the collab with iconic nineties brand Kappa but we loved this tie-dye effect coat which evokes the look of marble.
MKDT Studio
The first season without Mark Tan himself at the helm, this collection showed no deviation from the rigorous and intellectual aesthetic usually associated with the brand. In a flawless presentation (seriously, every single outfit was beautiful), we especially loved this double breasted jacket with knitted turn back cuffs worn nonchalantly with a simple skirt. Same goes for the two outerwear pieces – the slouchy caban jacket and the oversized coat are both masterclasses in proportion and sophistication.

It’s almost impossible not to have seen a clip from the finale of this show when a model stood up from a table and walked off revealing that the skirt was actually the table cloth therefore bringing plates and glasses crashing down in her wake. The reel has been watched over ten million times showing that a bit of theatrics goes a long way. But the collection was assured, elevated in quality and style and we loved the grunginess of this mixed plaid shirt. I probably will button it up though as the ab days are long gone…
