After a long December of Christmas excess followed rapidly by the late night partying of New Year, I’m probably not the only one with dark shadows under my eyes. Sure, sleep is the best medicine, but a bit of help along the way never harms so here are a few of my go-to remedies to get that sparkle back. And if they also reduce those crows feet and laughter lines a bit too, then all the better.

An absolute classic. For some reason this cream is often the gateway into grooming products and skin care for a lot of guys, maybe because it really does work. Dab a bit onto those puffy eye bags first thing in the morning and by the time you’ve finished your first coffee, you look like you slept a week.
Augustinus Bader The Eye Cream
There is always something very confident about Augustinus Bader products with that use of the definite article – you don’t feel you can argue with something that says it is THE eye cream… But the quality is fantastic (though that comes with a hefty price tag) and it works as much with prevention as it does with repairing so start now and you might not get wrinkles in the first place.
Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Eye Creme
To be honest, bananas aren’t the first thing I associate with eyes but who can argue with the eternally upbeat and enthusiastic Mr Henriksen? This cream – sorry creme – is loaded with Vitamin C that improves elasticity and brightens the skin. It also contains real gold which apparently diminishes dark circles.
Nuori Vital Eyes
Danish-based Nuori specialise in natural skin care products that contain no synthetic or toxic additives. Their minimalist packaging looks great in your bathroom and the products really work. This lightweight eye cream is full of natural antioxidants and promises to restore moisture around the delicate eye area and reduce those laughter lines.
