Biotherm Homme “Force Supreme – Youth Architect“
Even though we all know that lines on a face are a sign of character, none of us really want to look like a walnut. Botox is a no-no for me so Force Supreme Youth Architect Creme is just the ticket. It is a concentrated cream that counteracts visible signs of ageing in men above forty (a category I fit into obviously). but it can be used by everyone regardless of skin type or age. Contains the algae Life PlanktonTM, which originates from hot thermal springs in France.
Drunken Elephant “Protini Polypedtide Cream“
Quirky name aside, this moisturiser is pretty good for daytime use. It combines peptides, growth factors, and supportive amino acids for immediate improvement in the appearance of skin’s tone, texture, and firmness and it comes in a nifty pump action tub that even a hungover elephant could cope with the next morning.
Ole Henriksen “Strength Trainer Peptide Boost Moisturiser“
This moisturiser is suitable for all skin types and is great for everyday use. Ole Henriksen pride themselves on products that are easy to use and have a great and immediate effect on the skin (just look at the ever youthful company founder for evidence!). Strength Trainer Peptide Boost Moisturizer also strengthens the skin’s moisture barrier and improves the skin’s firmness and elasticity which reduces those tell-tale fine lines and wrinkles. It has a lovely fresh citrusy smell and the chic packaging looks good on your bathroom shelf too.
Augustinus Bader “The Light Cream“
In its trademark blue and gold packaging, Augustinus Bader is one of the leaders in very high quality, very effective products and is undoubtedly found in the bathrooms of many an age-defying star. With this one, the clue is in the name – this is a light moisturiser that hydrates and protects while improving the complexion’s appearance making it perfect to put on before heading out into chilly autumnal weather. It also has a mattifying effect which prevents unwanted shine – useful for those of us with a super shiny forehead.
Shiseido Men “Total Revitalising Moisturiser“
Shiseido Research discovered that men’s skin shows signs of ageing ten years earlier than women’s which shows the importance of starting to look after yourself before it gets too late. To try and counteract this and improve your skin’s performance, they came up with this anti-aging cream which offers 48 hour hydration. It’s clean and fresh and non-sticky and puts a bit of pzazz into your skin. Personally I could live without the space-age looking silver jar but it’s what in the jar that really counts and this is good stuff.
