The Editors’ “A Brand We Like” – a column where we highlight the brands we like, their approach to fashion and what we like about them.

“Silent” streetwear isn’t something new. The minimalist aesthetic with clean lines and simple cuts has been here for some time and one of the newer brands on this path is the London-based label about:blank. After their first collection debut, about:blank quickly became a go-to option for those who want to get simple clean pieces made with a more sustainable approach and designed to last. We ran into this brand thanks to one of the founders, Jack Henderson (the guy also behind nclgallery – a creative community-centred platform on Instagram which offers daily inspiration in fashion, art and lifestyle and which provided a ready-made fan base for the brand.)
What we like about the brand are the well-chosen fabrics and boxy shapes with good proportions. And that it has a high-end designer feel without a killer price tag. Instead of doing seasonal collections, about:blank focuses on “drops” with limited numbers of pieces arriving throughout the season. For us, things really start to get interesting when the brand branches out into colours such as the soft pink shade used in their latest release.
